The POWEREX MH-C801D charges uses the “MH-NM7008” Seventh-Generation Microprocessor The microprocessor that is powering the MH-C801D battery charger is state of the art. It features eight analog-to-digital converters with precision resolution at 0.001V (that’s one thousandth of a volt) per battery delivering just-the-right-charge. It’s like having eight individual "computer controlled" battery chargers! Users can mix any battery capacity, battery brand, and/or sizes without the fear of overcharging or undercharging. The NEW MH-C801D LCD Digital Large Size Display Users often are confused by the various solid, flashing, red, green and yellow displays on traditional LED battery chargers. The MH-C801D battery charger features a 2cm by 6cm large LCD displaying information for each rechargable battery. In addition, unlike other LCD battery chargers, this one actually delivers useful information in English, such as “CONDITION”, “CHARGE”, and “DONE”, as well as rechargeable battery level and status. The LCD displays a charge level for each battery as it is charging. This display is actually a 5 level display as follows: No Bar, 1 Bar , 2 Bars, 3 Bars , and 4 Bars. We actually found this display to be highly accurate. When the 2nd bar displays you can figure that the battery is at least 60% charged and when the 3rd Bar displays about 85% charged. An interesting note here: 95% of most other manufacturers battery chargers are only capable of charging rechargeable batteries up to 75% to 85% of their rated capacity at most. This means that you would be getting about 2000 mAh from a 2500 mAh rechargeable battery. This is especially true of the ones which claim that their chargers are lightning cool during their charge cycle. However using the MH-C801D you can be assured of an accurate and precise charge for your batteries each and every time. New Deep Conditioning Algorithm The Maha MH-C801D battery charger features a completely redesigned conditioning algorithm which cycles your rechargeable batteries automatically once the Conditioning button is pressed. It will first charge the battery, rest, deep discharge then recharging them all without user intervention. It is particularly useful in restoring older rechargeable batteries as well as exercising batteries periodically. The manually-activated conditioning means that user decides when it is needed. Single button activates automatic deep cycling ( charge - discharge - charge ) of batteries. 1 Hour Recharge and “Soft Charging” The MH-C801D battery charger provides the user with the option to choose between a soft charge and a fast charge mode. The soft charge delivers the highest rechargeable battery life and allows 100% compatibility with older, lower capacity batteries. The Soft charge current is 50% of the Fast charge current. The fast charge allows eight batteries to be fully charged to their maximum capacity in around one hour! The slow charging rate enhances battery life but at the cost of the recharge time. The MH-C801D solves this problem by offering a user-selectable “Soft Charging” mode. In such mode, the MH-C801D Battery Charger will use a slow 2 hour charge with low-temperature termination to maximize battery charge acceptance and life. When time is of the essence, the normal charging mode will recharge in around 1 hour. Maintenance Charge Rate The MH-C801D battery charger has a ultra low-rate maintenance charging ( trickle charge ) current of 0.008A ( or 8mA - .008A is the same as 8mA ). This ensures top battery safety and performance when your rechargable batteries are left in the MH-C801D battery charger.
