Charge AA / AAA NiMH or NiCD rechargeable batteries in 100 Minutes Accurately and Coolly
Unlike other fast chargers, the Maha PowerEx MH-C401FS allows you to recharge AA & AAA NiMH or NiCD rechargeable batteries accurately and coolly, around 100 minutes (AAA charges in around 1 hour). Much lower battery temperature at full charge improves battery’s ability to take a more complete charge; increases rechargeable battery runtime by increasing effective charging capacity.

Unique FLEX negative pulse charging algorithm allows the battery to accept a more complete charge
Regardless of the of battery’s capacity, if they cannot be fully charged, users will not be able to fully realize the potential of their rechargeable batteries. The Maha PowerEx MH-C401FS battery charger delivers the most complete charge for chargers in its class. The new FLEX negative pulse algorithm also significantly enhances rechargeable battery life and makes conditioning unnecessary. FLEX NEGATIVE pulse charging actually removes the crystal structure formed on rechargeable battery electrodes (which is the source of "memory effect") and conditions your rechargeable batteries as they are being charged.

Manually switch between 100 minute fast charge and 5 hour gentle charge
The Maha PowerEx MH-C401FS is also the first battery charger on the market to offer the choice between a 100-minute rapid charge and a slower, gentler 5-hour charge, both driven by a microprocessor termination control to prevent overcharge. Accomplished by simply flipping a switch, the 5 hour gentle charge achieves ultra-cool charging when charging time is not crucial.

Four Independent Charging Circuits
Unlike some ultra-fast battery chargers on the market, the MH-C401FS battery charger has four independently controlled channels to charge and monitor each rechargeable battery individually. This allows each rechargeable battery to be charged to its full potential without risk of overcharging. The charger can charge one, two, three or four rechargeable batteries and can charge any brand of NiMH AA or AAA size rechargeable batteries. Fully recharges high capacity rechargeable batteries, regardless of the battery's capacity and will recharge even the higher capacity rechargeable batteries of the future.

Question: Does the C401FS charger have the "recondition" feature like the C204F charger that I own.

Answer: The C401FS charger is so advanced that the internal charging circuit makes manual conditioning unnecessary. Since each battery is charged independently using the Flex Negative pulse charging algorithm, not only is each battery charged to its optimum capacity, but battery life is also enhanced. In fact, FLEX NEGATIVE pulse charging removes the crystal structure formed on battery electrodes (which is the source of "memory effect") and conditions your batteries as they are being charged. Full automatic charging on either Fast or Slow setting.
