MAHA MH-C801D BATTERY CHARGER FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS |
Question: Why won't the MH-C801D charge my lower mAh batteries that my other chargers will ?
Answer: But it will! The batteries, not the charger, determine if they can be charged using the MH-C801D charger, as long as the batteries are in good condition, and are capable of being safely recharged. However you will need to make sure that you do not attempt to charge batteries of poor quality, batteries that cannot be rapid chargerd , or batteries below a certain capacity when using the Normal ( Rapid ) charge mode when charging your batteries. You can check the specification of the batteries to see if they can accept the Normal ( Rapid ) charging current listed in the MH-C801D manual.
However, when the maximum charging current is not specified, it is safe to use the following rule of thumb when charging your batteries:
For normal charging mode (rapid): Charge only AAA rechargeable batteriess greater than 700mAh, and AA rechargeable batteriess greater than 2000mAh.
For soft charging mode: AAA rechargeable batteriess greater than 350mAh, and AA rechargeable batteriess greater than 1000mAh.

Answer: The right portion of the charger produces slightly more heat than the left. While this heat does not affect battery charging, it is recommended as a "best-practice" to occupy the left banks first.

Question: My MH-C801D charger makes a faint clicking sound. Is this normal ?
Answer: This is pulse charging at work and is normal.
|
Question: In the condition mode, the batteries appear to charge for a very long period of time. Is this normal ?
Answer: During discharge (second phase of the conditioning mode), batteries that are finished before others will show the charging symbols. However, actual charging will not commence until all batteries have finished discharging. Therefore, the charging symbols shown along discharge symbols indicate they are standing-by for charging. This is designed to allow a rest period between battery discharging and charging, thereby improving battery performance.
