How to make the Correct Inverter Choice

To select the correct power inverter for you needs, make sure it has enough power for your device. Consider the watts for each item you may want to run at the same time. Keep in mind to also add about 15% to the total wattage to ensure you will have enough power to meet your needs. Use this formula to determine the correct size DC to AC power inverter when you are considering amps, only:
AMPS x 120 = Watts Example: 5 Amp Device x 120 = 600 Watts. The 600 Watts + 15% = 690 Watts. So you would need an inverter with at least a 690 Watt continuous output for this application.
